ABOUT SUTIC
1. Sree Uthradam Thirunal Marthanda Varma who resided in Pattom Palace, Trivandrum and younger brother of the late Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma was the head of Travancore Royal House until his demise on 16-12-2013. In order to evaluate his contributions to Kerala and to the world of knowledge the SUTIC was setup. It has been decided to set up a Center for Research, an Art gallery, a Hall to maintain the rare photographs taken by Padmanabhadasa Marthanda Varma, exhibitmementos, gifts, presents etc. received by him and to establish a research library. form the basic aims of SUTIC.

2. To work for national integration, world peace, human amity, unity etc.

3. To work for religious harmony and social unity.

4. To abolish social evils such as untouchability

5. To social awareness programmes emphasizing personal hygiene and environmental hygiene.

6. To propagation of languages.

7. To work for the promotion of agriculture, cattle farming etc.

8. To accept grants, donations, presents, gifts and offerings from Government and other private bodies/persons and to deal with the same for the purposes of the Trust.

9. To invest, dispose of, transfer and, otherwise deal with the properties and assets of the Trust for the attainment of the objectives of the Trust.

10. To give stipends, and scholarships to the students on such terms as the Governing Body may deem fit.

11. To establish, acquire, maintain and manage facilities such as offices, residential accommodation, hostels, library, etc.

12. To acquire by way of purchase or gift or to take on lease or hire or otherwise temporarily or on permanent basis any movable or immovable properties for the purposes of the Trust.

13. To make rules and bye-laws for the conduct of the affairs of the Trust and to add, amend, vary or rescind them from time to time.

14. To borrow or raise money for the purpose of carrying out the aims and objectives of the Trust on such terms and by giving such security as may be determined from time to time.

15. To do all other acts and things as may be necessary or conducive to the attainment of the above objectives.

16. The objectives of this Trust is to function without caste, religion and politics.

17.To promote scientific, industrial, technical and educational, career development, literacy promotion and research of all descriptions and to conduct lectures, meetings, conferences, seminars, surveys, workshops, etc. and to establish scholarships for the same in any field where ever necessary.

18. To organize educational activities and establish technical and non-technical schools and colleges, public schools, professional colleges coaching centers, libraries, reading rooms, recreation centers, hostels and to maintain them.

19. To organize health activities and establish and maintain hospitals, health centers, family welfare centers, maternity and child welfare centers, polyclinics and other medical establishments for the reception and treatment of persons suffering from physical ailments and mental defects of requiring medical attention of any kind and their rehabilitation, if necessary on a subsidized and charitable basis.

20. To study the problems of the community particularly those of the weaker sections, the poor, widows, orphans, the aged, the destitute and the handicapped and to help them in the form of money, medicines, appliances, scholarships/assistance for education or for any other purpose.

21 To work in co-operation with various governmental and non-governmental agencies and to co-ordinate the activities of such organizations with the Trust for the welfare of the poor, downtrodden, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other economically backward communities with emphasis on villages of the country. To create awareness among the general public regarding population control, AIDS, polio, drug abuse etc. and to take suitable action.

22. To establish and maintain vocational training centers, counselling centers, poor homes, old age homes, women's hostel, guest houses, cr�ches, clubs, hobby centers, museums, disabled home, theaters, development centers, all types of educational institutions, all types of health institutions and to receive aid from any agencies for the above purpose.

23. To start and conduct Para Medical Institutions, Dispensaries, in all branches of Medical treatment i.e., Allopathy, Ayurveda and Homeopathy in order to give treatment to all sections of the community.

24. To acquire barren lands, forest lands and wet lands owned by Government on lease and to cultivate them for the benefit of the masses.

25. To acquire land or lands in the name of the Trust in any locality in any part of the country and to construct suitable building or buildings thereon for carrying out the objectives of the Trust.

26. To arrange, acquire by purchase or on hire purchase or on instalments or on lease or otherwise all kinds of equipments, instruments, machineries, tools or any other movable or immovable property for the purposes of carrying out the objectives of the Trust.

27.To start co-operative institutions for carrying out various activities in order to give employment opportunities and to render services for the weaker sections of the community.

28.To raise money for the fulfillment of the objectives of the Trust by way of lease, mortgage, hypothecation, sale, and/or borrow from any bank with or without security on any property or a part thereof. And also to raise, obtain, accept funds by way of fees, charges, license fees, interest on investments, subscriptions, donations, or grant-in-aid from any agency or course whether or not subject to any conditions and to attract foreign investments or any aid voluntarily or by any other lawful means.

29. To donate and/or contribute or pay or reimburse any amount or amounts for the attainment of any objectives of the Trust to any person, trust, society or association. And also to enter into any agreement to rent, lease or service with any person or firm carrying on one or any of the objectives of the Trust.

30. To promote and carry on the programmes on conservation of the natural resources and implementation of the environmental ecology requirements.

31. To create energy such as solar energy, wind energy, and mini hydro electric projects for the purpose of carrying out the objectives of the Trust.

32.To publish papers, journals, pamphlets, books and the like for promoting the objectives of the Trust.
